SUMMARY:GMBA Golf Tournament #1
DESCRIPTION:Hi all ~\nMy name is Michael from R08 batch. Nice to meet you guys ! I would like to share this exciting initiative organized by me.\n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\nThe great game of golf is known to provide a unique and enjoyable experience for everyone. It allows you to be around nature\, while engaging in some friendly competition with other players. A round of golf also provides the opportunity to better connect with peers and even conduct business as we go through the course.\n\n\nThe GMBA Golf Club aims to provide this experience to fellow GMBA-ers. We will be practicing at the driving range\, learn more about golf etiquette\, and spend quality time with other golf enthusiasts.\n\n\nI am happy to inform all GMBA-ers that GMBA Golf is going to organize “GMBA Golf Tournament” on May 9th\, 2021 at Kuohua Golf Club (國華高爾夫球俱樂部). Please let me know if any of you would like to join or join our line group for more information.\n\n\nThank you !\n\n\nFor those who are interested\, please join the line group to know more about our ideas and plans for the club. \nhttps://line.me/R/ti/g/eAyNzlIkXt\n\n\n\n-by Tam Po Ho\, the GMBA Golf Ambassador

SUMMARY:News! GMBA Golf Tournament #1
DESCRIPTION:Yesterday\, Sunday May 9th\, 2021\, marked our first GMBA Golf Tournament hosted at Kuo Hua Golf & Country Club. Splendid sunshine and gentle breeze at the break of day\, 23 players gathered to compete for top prizes\, including lowest scores\, nearest to pin\, longest drive\, and most improved player awards. Regardless novice golfers or seasoned amateur golfers\, everyone enjoyed the game.\n\n\nWith this success and strong student turnout\, we believe the GMBA Golf Tournament will become a tradition to be hosted every semester. Golf not only encourages GMBA students to connect with each other\, as well as with alumni\, but also serves as an introduction to the fun game of golf that may be beneficial in the GMBA students’ future career\, in addition\, as a progress checkpoint for novice golfers who have experience in the monthly GMBA golf practices. Golf is a life-long sport\, friendly to all ages and gender. We thank the GMBA Office and the Golf Digest for its continuous support of the tournament and events.\nhttps://www.golfdigestweb.com.tw\n\n-by Tam Po Ho\, the GMBA Golf Ambassador

SUMMARY:GMBA CONNECT Online Event #1
DESCRIPTION:Student Council is pleased to invite all of you to join in on the upcoming GMBA Connect Online scheduled on July 17(Saturday) from 4:30-5:30pm.\n\n\nThis event aims to provide the opportunity for the GMBA student body to build connections and learn from fellow GMBA-ers\, industry leaders\, and professionals in a casual environment. The topics discussed usually include the sharing of personal experiences and advice that could help GMBA students elevate their professional portfolios upon graduating or while undergoing the program. It is also a great way for them to expand their networks\, open opportunities for collaborations\, and to get in touch with other established professionals. Unfortunately\, with restrictions still in place and with everyone’s safety as a top priority\, we have decided to conduct this activity online for the meantime.\n\n\nThis session will feature members of our own GMBA family. We’re lucky to have Lauren Grimm and Nicholas Herschel to share about life after GMBA\, focusing on job hunting and working in Taiwan.\n\n\n\nIf you are interested and have time to join us this weekend\, please do so through this link. https://meet.google.com/zib-xwob-uyb \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThank you and stay safe everyone!\n\n\n\n#GMBA\n#GMBAStudentCouncil

SUMMARY:News! GMBA CONNECT Online Event #2
DESCRIPTION:Our second GMBA CONNECT Online Event was a great success. Congratulations\, everyone. Student council invited 2 of our very own GMBA family alumni\, Peter K.C. Lee and Neesha Wolf\, to come and share with us some of their true life stories and life after GMBA in Taiwan. \nPeter K.C. Lee has served in the industries of technology\, civil aviation and semiconductor for more than 20 years and currently works for Brainstorm International Consulting Co.\, Ltd as Chief Consultant. Outside of work\, he has dedicated a lot of time to CSR and Social Enterprise ventures as a volunteer for many years. He also has built his own startup iFoodBank(SEWF2015) when he was studying in GMBA program. Peter is also the Co-initiator of Hult Prize in 2018 and on going for NTU\, he is the winner of Altruistic Award 2016 of NTU and Outstanding Alumni Award of Global MBA 2018 of NTU. His spirit and willingness to help others has always inspired people around him\, and yet\, according to him\, his success is thanks to his network and support from others. Therefore\, he encouraged all of us that we should all take advantage of this great opportunity from the program and meet more people as much as possible. \nNeesha Wolf works for the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA) as the Researcher Director of Taiwan. Prior to joining ACGA\, Neesha worked in environmental protection research and regulation for the Minnesota state government\, as well as spending several years in education\, corporate executive training and consulting in Taiwan. Before joined the GMBA program\, Neesha was also a startup founder and owner in the educational sector. She is currently a PhD candidate at National Taiwan University in International Business Strategy. Her story is a perfect example that your dreams will come true if you stay true and believe in yourself. \nWe are always pleased to see the networking/hangout after the event with Alumni\, current student and new student together\, even though we still can’t meet in person just yet. Especially\, we want to thank you all for great feedback and great ideas for our events. With your support\, our program will be even better. Special thanks goes to our amazing volunteer speakers Peter K.C. Lee and Neesha Wolf. We are very happy to have you! \nWish you all good luck\, and we look forward to meeting up again in person soon. Stay safe and healthy. \n  \n*GMBA Connect aims to provide the opportunity for the GMBA student body to build connections and learn from fellow GMBA-ers\, industry leaders and professionals in a casual sit-down environment. We believe that one of the most valuable experiences in this program is getting first hand experience and stories from different industries\, cultures\, and backgrounds. \n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n#GMBA\n#GMBAStudentCouncil

SUMMARY:NTU GMBA National Taiwan University Commencement 9/13/2021 Class of 2021 國立臺灣大學管理學院企業管理碩士專班R08畢業典禮
DESCRIPTION:We would like to take another chance to congratulate this batch of 2021 NTU GMBA graduating students. There were a total of  50 graduates this year. 37 of them attended Monday’s ceremony and the other 13 are joined us online.  These 50 graduates came from a total of 12 countries including: Canada\, France\, Hong Kong\, India\, Korea\, Malaysia\, Japan\, Philippine\, Singapore\, Thailand\, USA\, and Taiwan. \nIn accordance to the COVID prevention guidelines\, we were not able to invite more GMBA Faculties to celebrate with us on Monday. Therefore\, many thanks to those professors who recorded a short video to congratulate our graduates including:  Prof. Charlie Chen\, Prof. 孔令傑\, Prof. Jung Yun Han\, Prof. James 謝\, Prof. 鄭明道\, Prof. Shweta Pandey\, Prof. Gideon Loewy\, Prof. Eric 連 and Prof. 陳峙維 \nWe would like to express our sincere appreciation to: Dean 胡星陽\, Director Audrey Hsu\, & Professor Leon van Jaarsveldt for kindly presenting the diploma and turning the tassel for the graduates.  Also many thanks to the GMBA office staff team including: Celia\, Yvonne\, Christy\, Nancy\, and Lisa\, along with our staff personnel for planning and executing the event for the graduates. \nWe all had an amazing and unforgettable evening on 9/13/2021 for 2021 NTU GMBA Commencement.  Fortunately\, GMBA was one of the VERY few schools campus wide which was able to host an physical commencement under COVID restriction guidelines.  Not only were we able to host a safe gathering with participants providing either prof of vaccination or covid-negative report\, but we also quickly shifted our ceremony time to dodge the impact of Typhoon Chanthu. \nWhile the professional team is still doing some minor editing towards to the professional version video & our graduation photos\, here is a link to an unprofessional sneak preview: \n \n  \n

It serves over 240 families\, including many elderly or single-parent households\, by supplying each family with a box of essential items every month.  We would like to thank you all for your support towards NTU GMBA Alumni Association for making this happen. \n \n
